The Fireman's Forge

After working under tarps, I couldn't stand it any longer. I had to build a space to get out of the rain. This was the first "Fireman's Forge". I built this building out of old garage doors. The old time facade front was inspired by Ron Scofield's "Red Mule Ranch", in Jackson,Ca. A hold over from the old west. It was a little like working in a boxcar, only smaller. It was fine for a while, but eventually I outgrew it. The first time I worked on a railing in this building, it became a tedious task everytime I needed to turn the work around. I had to get help from my wife to carry the work outside, turn it around, and then carry it back in. It's a good thing it wasn't longer, or we wouldn't have been able to lift it. For every piece that got added to it, it got heavier. It became apparent real soon that the size of my work space was due for an up grade. One with a hoist.
Here's the new "Fireman's Forge". As you can see, I'm living up to my name.
